Super Business Brain Challenge: Startup Improvisation Held

On 13th of March, 2014, ZJUSOM, joined by Chinaccelerator, presented an Entrepreneurship-focused Startup Improvisation to more than 40 GEP students and business startups in Zhejiang University. The activity was intended to provide a platform for entrepreneurial knowledge and experiences sharing to the entrepreneurs and startups around the world. It gathered Mr. Ruud Peters, former Executive Vice-President of Philips Group and Hengyi chair professor; Mr. Frans Greidanus, former Chief Technology Officer Philips Asia and Head Philips Research Asia, Senior Vice president; Mr. Andy Mok, founder of Red Pagoda Resources; Mr. Todd Embley, Program Director at Red Pagoda Resources; and Joseph Lipuma, director of the international M.B.A. program at the EMLYON Business School. 
Hosted by ZJUSOM Associate Prof. Mark Greeven, the event featured into elevator pitch contest and business projection. 

Within the limited time during the pitch contest, the participants gave short but robust speeches regarding their companies and/or start - up projects that related to all most every aspect of life, including health care, IT, tourism and community service, etc,.

In the following session, the participants were divided into ten teams that were required to present their final business models within an hour, given certain key words. One particular team’s idea of oversea wedding based on three key words: “French”, “man” and “hotel” caught much of attention and recognition.

As the member of Global Accelerator Network, Chinaccelerator is the first mentorship-driven seed-funding program in China. Given the support from experienced network of mentors, the program is committed to help entrepreneurs with cutting-edge of information technology to create successful start-up companies.
