HR Management Associate Program (HR MAP)

Challenging, on-the-job assignments
Over the course of the 18-month program, members rotate through three 6-month assignments. Each rotation, assigned based upon business opportunities and MAP Associates’ developmental needs and interests, exposes participants to important issues in Business and Human Resources while providing access to top-level HP executives.

Rotation 1: Business HR
Partner with HP’s business leaders to drive business transformation and ensure high levels of ser vice delivery.

Rotation 2: Center of Expertise (COE)
Assist in leading strategies, policies and programs to create best-in-class HR functions.

Rotation 3: HR Global Operations
Implement and execute global HR programs and services.

These rotations engage Associates with multiple aspects of our business and provide them with opportunities to demonstrate their abilities to a broad range of managers including senior executives.
Some rotations include international assignments that provide direct exposure to global business and local implementation requirements. Recent engagements have allowed MAP participants to complete rotations in Sydney, Beijing, Geneva and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ongoing development
In addition to completing HP’s standard Graduate Hire curriculum, MAP participants attend specialized training and seminars to deepen their functional HR knowledge, business acumen and leadership skills. Regular team forums provide additional learning through guest lectures and team assignments.

Comprehensive feedback and career development
Formal career development is a key portion of the program. The HR MAP Program Management Team, Rotation Managers and executive-level mentors provide continued performance feedback, coaching and career development throughout the experience.
