Short assignment of China and Hong Kong Demand Planning Manager for AP (Accessory)



Demand Planning Manager (DM) is part of the worldwide operating PT-AC logistics organisation. It acts as an interface between the country-specific Marketing/Sales organisation (Brand-, Country-, and Product- Manager) and the Logistics department (demand planning, inventory planning, etc). Planning-relevant information from the countries (Marketing-Events, XXL orders etc) has to be collected and evaluated, as well as forwarded to supplier or plant to secure on time delivery.



Responsibilities:


- Be responsible for forecasting the market needs in cooperation with the Sales & Marketing to ensure, in cooperation with the supplier or plant, that the market demand can be fulfilled. Demand Planning Manager is responsible for the regular contact with each Country Sales Organization in Asia Pacific on all updated market information, promotion preparation, forecasting, overstock reduction, etc. Demand Planning Manager is in charge of setting the reorder point, monitoring the replenishment and, in case of expectations, initiating activities to ensure availability in time.


- Be responsible for SAP Integrated Planning and Ordering System preparation, incl. business requirement input/ discussion/ alignment; existing and new master data verification; neccessary system field testing.


- The regular communication with the Brand Manager in country, central marketing and supplier or plant is really important. DM should coordinate the sales forecast in a monthly meeting with the Brand Manager but should also communicate on a weekly/ daily basis with fixed agenda which defined by demand planning process. On the other side DM should communicate with the plant and central marketing to ensure delivery, monitor replenishment, coordinate allocation in case of a bottle neck.


- Make planning according to finished goods inventory planning process. This includes the ROP setting, follow up the logistic business from new launches, phase out and promotion items, place orders, postpone or cancel orders, monitor replenishment


- Keep the inventory under control. This includes the knowledge of the inventory structure as well as the overstock elimination.


- Ensure high service level/availability of goods at optimal inventory levels. This includes an accurate planning to prevent customer service level issues and effective actions to solve existing service level failures.


- Monitor and control supply chain cost.



Requirements:


- Bachelor degree or above in supply chain management, marketing or international business administration

- Demand-/Inventory-Planning or plant logistics experience is of benefit

- Strong collaboration and coordination with international stakeholders

- Strong customer orientation, process and result orientation

- Fluent English language skills

- First Marketing/Sales experience is of benefit

- Enjoys working with IT tools, mainly MS Office software (Excel, Access),SAP-user experience is of benefit
