Jin Yan is an Associate Professor in School of Management, Zhejiang University. He teaches Organizational Behavior, Management Communication, and Behavioral Decision-Making in Management in a wide variety of programs including undergraduates, MBA, EMBA, and EDP. He is the author of text book Organizational Behavior (Peking University Press) and Management Communication (China-pub Co. Ltd), which are welcome in Chinese universities.
Professor Yan got his Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology in the year of 2000 in Zhejiang University. During the year of 2004 to 2005, he visited Harvard University in Organizational Behavior Program with the support of Chinese Scholarship Council. His research focuses on decision-making behaviors in e-commerce and organization settings, and personnel assessment in human resource management. His current research topic including decision-making in online shopping, impulsive purchasing, decision-making in different time intervals, trust development, competitive escalation, biodata research, narrative intelligence. His has been published in top Chinese research journals in the fields of organizational behavior including Acta Psychologica Sinca. His work has also received considerable approve in academic activities. Professor Yan has won awards for excellent mentor of school three times.
Professor Yan’s professional activities include training, consulting, and advisory work for firms across the globe in a multitude of industries, including banking, beverages, B2B, consumer products, real estate, retail, and telecommunications.
